Chloë Bass
Wayfinding
As Chloë Bass's first solo institutional presentation, "Wayfinding" consists of 24 site-specific sculptures—all masquerading as types of public signage, from botanical labels to plaques to billboards—stationed throughout Harlem's St. Nicholas Park. Three questions, written by Bass, anchor the exhibition conceptually—while, standing alone, each appears verbatim on a mirrored billboard:
How much of care is patience? How much of life is coping? How much of love is attention?
