Selected Works: Summer 2020

Skarstedt
66 Newtown Lane
East Hampton

A medley of big-name artists—Sue Williams, Christopher Wool, and Richard Prince among them—come together in this group show at Skarstedt’s new East Hampton space.

Many of the artists with pieces on display emerged in the 1970s and challenged popular notions of photography and painting. A notable example is Richard Prince’s cryptic Untitled (1993-1995) (pictured) that unfolds like snapshots from a dream or a half-remembered memory.
